TikTok Shop Malaysia Changes Commission Fees on 31 October 2026

Hello, business friends!

TikTok Shop Malaysia is changing commission fees. The new rates start at 00:00 on 31 October 2026, Malaysia time. Orders placed before that time still use the old rates.

Here is the honest part. This is not one change. Some categories go up. Some go down. A few stay at zero. So you cannot assume. You must check your own category.

What is going up

These are Marketplace rates for sellers not in BXP.

Snacks go from 13.50% to 14.36%.

Car electronics go from 11.34% to 12.96%.

Magazines and newspapers go from 11.88% to 13.50%.

Phones and tablets stay at 9.72% for non-BXP sellers, but BXP sellers go from 5.40% to 6.80%.

What is going down

Feminine care goes from 14.58% to 12.10%.

Over the counter medicine goes from 14.04% to 11.56%.

Infant feeding goes from 9.72% to 6.80%.

Milk and dairy, fresh and frozen food, bakery, and cooking staples stay at 0%.

A real ringgit example

Say you sell car electronics on Marketplace and you are not in BXP. You sell an item for RM100.

Today you pay RM11.34 commission. From 31 October you pay RM12.96. That is RM1.62 more on one sale.

Now say you do 150 orders a month. That is RM243 more every month, or about RM2,916 a year. That is real money, so plan your pricing now.

What is not changing

You still pay only when you make a sale. There are no new flat fees, listing fees or monthly fees.

New sellers still get up to 120 days of commission waiver.

BXP sellers still pay lower commission than non-BXP sellers. BXP is voluntary and you can leave any time.

TikTok also says the RM250 million JomLokal Booster 2.0 continues for micro sellers and creators.

What you must do before 31 October

Open Seller Center and find the commission page for your own category. The rates above are examples only, and TikTok sent the full table as a picture, so your category may be different.

If your rate is going up, decide now whether you absorb it or adjust your price.

If you are not in BXP, compare the two rates for your category before you decide.

Anda jual elektronik kereta di Marketplace, bukan BXP, harga RM100.

Hari ini komisen RM11.34. Mulai 31 Oktober jadi RM12.96. Beza RM1.62 satu jualan.

Kalau 150 pesanan sebulan, itu RM243 sebulan, lebih kurang RM2,916 setahun.
